Emerald Lake Tours

We are returning customers and stay at Carriage House when we stay in Calgary. The desk staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and quiet and the location is surrounded by many options for shopping for shopping. You can start your day with an excellent breakfast buffet. The gym, pool, hot tub and sauna are a nice addition. If you enjoy gambling there is a casino on site as well as a pub.

The front desk lady was quite helpful. We had some issues when we checked in and she graciously accommodated us with our request. I understand that it’s an old building but they can do better to improve the aminities. Have a restaurant that will cater for early risers and late comers especially if guests are on their way to tours(which starts early). It’s not enough “come on” that the hotel is “iconic” as the early hotel in Calgary. With so much competition around it’s time for the management to go back to the drawing board and brainstorm on what other amenities you can offer to your guests.

We were given a room facing the side of a building and parking lot. We were woken up at 6 am by car alarms going off AND the housekeeping staff were in the halls talking loudly and knocking on doors at 6:30 am. We paid a premium for the room and got stuck with a terrible location in the building.
