"I was upgraded by the helpful ladies at reception and offered late checkout given that it was a slower period of the year. There was a problem with the safe in my room and someone came to the rescue within minutes! The friendly bar/restaurant staff enhanced my stay on a frigid December night. The lobby was being renovated so it wasn’t in its usual old school elegant state. Given the hotel’s proximity to restaurants and places of interest, I would definitely recommend the Lord Elgin when visiting Ottawa."

"Honestly, it doesn't look like much from the outside (especially the flickering sign), but the rooms are pleasantly clean and comfortable and the price was right - and for us the location (South Ottawa) was good. I would definitely stay there again."

"Worst property I have ever been in my life. I paid 120$ and left immediately to get a hotel. This is lies it’s not a bnb it’s not a hotel it’s a dirty smelly house with 2 beds in one room from in the house. Guy told us we can’t go out after checking in 0/10"
