“I have stayed at the Grano del Oro on numerous occasions and it’s always a five stars experience. The hotel, an old Spanish mansion with gorgeous woodwork and appointments, is beautiful. The staff are incredible and helpful also. Marco and the front desk staff are great, and don’t miss Carlos at the beautiful bar. The restaurant is excellent and has added some creative touches to its menu in addition. A must stay in San Jose!”

“The staff was personable and made sure that the room was clean and the linens were fresh. The staff and owner were very helpful with giving suggestion and directions to places to eat and what museums and other places of interests to visit.”

“The staff was very helpful, but it’s a house, not a hotel. It was full of mosquitoes, no air conditioning, staff leaves at 9 pm. It was clean”

“The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by how excellent the interior was. There are several common areas including a full kitchen and all are well maintained and well thought out. Very beautiful.”

“Good service, but best staffer in lobby that’s a Jonathan! Very kind, fast service and smart man! Jonathan good example how must be staffer in every hotel ! Thank Taormina, thank Jonathan!!!”

He has a scary pattern of going from 0 to 100 out of nowhere, flying off the handle, and then snapping right back to a weird 0 like nothing happened. My first morning, I accidentally walked through an open door into his kitchen. He blew up and screamed in my...
