So glad we stayed at the InterContinental Resort Tahiti, as we met up with some other couples (also on the cruise we had been on with) staying elsewhere, not as happy as we were.

"Convenient and clean pace to stay in Papeete before a 2am check in for flight to NZ. Had everything we needed except cups or mugs. Would have been good to have cuppa before getting a few hours sleep. Easy 8 min walk down to the airport terminal"

It reminded me of Mexico. Trash and junk everywhere. Everything was run down and dirty. Not the "paradise" you think of. Only some of the resorts on Tahiti are nice and clean and kept up.
