“The Brownswood is lovely and I keep returning year after year. It feels like staying with family. Pub is a great time. Quick access on bus network or plenty of bikes around make commuting to central easy.”

“The bed was huge and very comfortable, the shower was hot and facilities were good. It was very good value for the rate. The location was great. I can't say it was spotlessly clean, just normal levels of clean. A few bits need some refreshing, and there was some noise transfer from other rooms but overall would stay here again. A good, affordable base in great location. ”

“The wifi is still not working. The password they told me via email was not correct. I could not use wifi throughout the stay and was quite frustrated. Also the shower was dangerously hot and I could not adjust the water temperature. Could not use it either. ”

“The hotel is modest, but beautifully updated and very clean. Our room had a kitchen, laundry facilities, and a very nice bathroom. The bedroom was small, but I’ve seen much smaller in Central London for double the price. Staff were very kind and allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours after checkout so we could do a bit more sightseeing before our flight.”

“This was exactly as advertised. All clean including sheets, towels etc. Two firm and two soft pillows. Basket with extra blankets. Had a decent fan as well. Host responded promptly and I had the access codes before arrival. Excellent location, right across from Finsbury Park making attending a gig really easy. I'll use again and would highly recommend. We were ground floor in one of the cheaper rooms as well, so all good.”

“It says on the info it has a restaurant. It does not!! The accommodation area is supposedly secure but I came down to find the front door open at 05:15. No lift but my room was on floor 1. There are at least two. The room was compact. To say the least. Shower was dirty. There is fridge and a fan!! They are doing a refurb so do not want to be too judgemental but what they have done looks as if will improve. I needed feeding and there are many, many restaurants locally. Very...

“I stayed for only one night. For the money, the hotel was a good choice. Important was that it was clean. There was some noise where my room was, a sound like a washing machine does, but I did not really understand where exactly it was coming from. The staff at the reception was very polite and friendly, to the extend I interacted with them I am very happy.”

“For a whole apartment with kitchen and four rooms, this was good value in the under ninety quid range. It was clean. The only thing that lets it down is that the third party agencies you might see it on, including this one, don’t have the right number for the host. I was left outside for an hour trying to get Expedia to help me, and they couldn’t. That’s because they don’t have the right number. The right number ends in xx62. The other one ending 510 will not pick up!. I had to rely on a person...
