The only thing that people should be aware of is that it is near a train track. It didn’t bother me but if you’re a sensitive sleeper they do provide ear plugs.”

There was lots of variety on the breakfast menu and the location of the hotel allowed us to easily access ‘tourist’ activities (the train tunnel and the Thousand Island cruise).”

The portions that are finished are quite spectacular and bode well for the large amount of work that still needs to be completed. We were more than satisfied with our stay in the renovated room provided to us and also with the complimentary delicious and varied breakfast.”
“Before you judge the accommodations, keep in mind this historic hotel was built as a family home/farm in the 1800's. If you are looking for luxury accommodations then this is not for you, and if the room is the most important thing then you are truly missing the point of what this area has to offer. The rooms face the most beautiful lake and in the morning a homemade breakfast with your coffee and take it all in, look at the lock and watch as boats make their way....the hosts Jeff and Core are...
