"I showed up knowing that the hotel was reputed to be a bit outdated but wasn't too concerned, just looking for a bed for the night ... when I arrived, I inquired about upgrading to an ocean view room and even though I had booked through Expedia, the front desk clerk helped me jump through hoops in order to upgrade even though Expedia didn't make it easy. (I wish I remembered his name). The room was a huge surprise! It had obviously been updated with a full kitchen, comfy couch and bed, dining table, etc. .... it was the perfect evening and a spectacular view!!! (I was able to see that not all of the other rooms were as newly updated though) ... The only pitfall was the large family with kids that were staying next door who didn't seem to understand that not everyone was getting up and on the road by 7 a.m. Some awareness that they were not the only people in the hotel would have been much appreciated!!! ... I'd totally stay there again though."
