Holiday Inn Express Grand Rapids Airport North by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"We love Holiday Inn Express and this one did not disappoint! Clean, friendly and the best hotel breakfast (love those cinnamon rolls)! And the best part is a perfect night’s sleep on those famous IHG beds. Ahhh!"
"I feel everything was perfect, with one small exception. The room was clean and ready, the lobby and surrounding areas were very clean and welcoming. Room temp was great and the hotel was quiet and I slept like a rock. We didn't have enough time to utilize everything the hotel had to offer, but it all looked nice. My only issue, and it was minor in the scheme of life, was check in.
Check in was very very slow. I'm not sure what the lady was doing but I've traveled and stayed in many hotels. It was like she didn't know what she was doing or, well, I don't know. It took forever, and she wasn't saying anything. Just occasionally clicking on the mouse or keyboard. That's not the weirdest part. She finally got around to ask me for my ID, I presented it, and she looked at me, looked at my ID...over and over. She then says "This doesn't look like you. The person in this photo has hair, you don't" Which is odd enough IMO to begin with, but I was wearing a baseball hat. So I removed my hat to show my hair and she agreed that was me on my ID. Like I said, very minor in life, but very odd. We will be back though."
"Renovated hotel, but clean. Excellent clean indoor pool. Asked for toilet paper and another towel that I would come down to the front desk to pick up and Tressa brought a whole set of towels up to my room. Good hot breakfast. A/C was excellent. Staff was excellent."
"This was one of the largest, and quietest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The staff was helpful and I utilized the hotel shuttle extensively b/c there were no rental cars in town due to the Electric Forest EDM Festival. Has a huge pool / spa (indoors) and checkout and checkin was a breeze. They are currently renovating and the kitchen / bar is down, but plenty of restaurants and two malls within walking distance. Try BJ's and Al-Bo's."
