“Good hotel service and staff Bit out of town so need to get a cab / uber but free parking is a bonus”

“Lovely hotel and very helpful friendly staff. I booked a classic room which was spacious and nicely presented. Appreciated the addition of room service after a long journey and a well presented breakfast the next morning. Exceeded my expectations actually”

“Staff was very friendly, super quiet hotel with air conditioning. Very clean.”

“Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed. Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds.”

“Due to a VRBO double booking, this was a last-minute booking @ around 6:30pm. They welcomed us in with open arms and made the stay most enjoyable. Glad we got double-booked!”

“This is a fantastic hotel that I would recommend to all.”

“A beautiful thatched pub in the Suffolk countryside with original features and delicious breakfast”

“Had a mews room on ground floor. Lovely to just step outside for coffee”

“Staff are very helpful and create a pleasant friendly environment, good standards of cleanliness throughout. Lovely big breakfast served by staff member attentive to customer needs.”

“The roast partridge and Rhone red were excellent, as was our room.”

“There was only one member of staff on reception at check in time which means multiple guests have to wait to check in. We went for lunch and had to ask firstly to order drinks and then again to order food. Unfortunately the burgers were way over cooked and the waiter had no incling that this might not be acceptable. It is unfathomable to me based on the price that a full breakfast wouldn’t be included in room rate.”

“The perfect place to stay. Easy walking distance into town. Adjacent to the cathedral. Staff were great. The room was very clean and bed amazingly comfortable. Would recommend and will be staying here again.”

“Beatiful building and setting. Excellent staff. Food 7/10. Its classical which is fine but maybe uninteresting.”
