The location is unbeatable—everything downtown has to do is within easy walking distance, with fantastic restaurants and shops right down the street. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, and the staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. We love coming back here and highly recommend it!"

"First, spring for the harbour view. Some of the other rooms may have film over half the windows. Breakfast was delicious and Joseph was a wonderful server. In the Que(bar) I highly recommend asking for Rebecka - so very cheerful and willing to accommodate your requests. Also, the concierge Mira was wonderful - both before and during our stay. Tea was a little bit of a let down. We were not informed we needed to arrive on the hour. The facilities such as the pool and hot tub were amazing. Overall the Empress is lovely.1"

Price was higher than I would have thought as the advertisement is a little misleading. It appears to be in a better area than it is. It is clean but overpriced for what is there ."

"Location to Victoria harbour was great. BC transit is just outside and fairly cheap for a day pass although staff weren’t able to provide information about it. Good parking including secure underground. Hot tub was okay but has no jets. Pool was an okay temperature. Nice having a restaurant onsite as this hotel does not provide breakfast."
