“Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. “Easy to check in. Was very surprised how well kept and clean the room was and actually matched the photos, very impressed. Also very quiet considering it is right next to the A1. On returning from a wedding we had the pleasure of speaking with Michael on reception who is a credit to the hotel, fantastic hospitality and chat, such a laugh! Will definitely stay again if needs be. ”

Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. “We just had a standard double room, I was suprised how nice it was for the price. The hotel itself is lovely, such a beautiful place. There are a few animals outside to feed, an outdoor bar area. The bar inside is great and reasonably priced. The food is AMAXING ”

“I can honestly say everything was perfect with the room, it was beautiful, clean, all the amenities you needed was there, front of house was well mannered and polite when we arrived. I had requested for room to be decorated alittle special as it was our anniversary, and my request was granted so if you do want to stay somewhere and make it special always ask they are happy to help.
