Hill Country, Texas hotel rooms at the Highgate Independent

"Of all the Home2 suites I have stayed, this is bad. The place is old and they were charging $4.50 cents for a small water bottle, which was supposed to be given as a complimentary. Breakfast was good and lot of varieties. Except the room and hospitality, everything else was good. "

"This hotel was very conveniently located for our trip to watch the Longhorn softball team play. The staff was wonderful, the bartender was attentive and the room was comfy. There was some hair in our shower and our bathroom needed an update. None of that made me not want to return. We will certainly be back! The staff was so wonderful they made up for it all!! One CAUTION….if you’re planning to park at this hotel, the parking is a pay lot contracted with another company. You must scan a QR code and pay $38 per night via credit card. Just something to consider before you believe you’re getting a great deal on the hotel!!"

"Staff are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, and relaxed. Very clean rooms and public areas. Nice local decor. The Holiday Inn is connected to another hotel and they have consolidated the front desks to the Indigo hotel, located at the bottom of the hill. There are signs but it’s about 3blocks additional walking around the corner. If you have mobility issues please be aware. The room itself was clean and the beds and bedding are great. My issue is the state of the bathroom fixtures. The tub looked gross and needs reglazing. One of the towel bars was coming off the wall. Two tsk. "
