“We had to leave very early the next morning to take part in the Macmillan Mighty Hike and the staff accommodated us, giving us instructions on how we could check ourselves out, thank you! My only complaint would be the showerhead in our room was very grimy and should be replaced, otherwise the room was excellent!”

“The hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. “Wasn’t aware until shortly before our visit that we’d booked during the Appleby Horse Fair so following a Police advisory, they weren’t selling alcohol. Which was a shame as I like to drink local brewery beer when away, but we were allowed to bring our own bottles. In all other respects, our stay was amazing!”

“Great hosts very friendly, hotel is situated right on the edge of the nightlife area. Big breakfast great breakfast room. Close to all amenities. The Hotel is an old converted town house with all the rooms upstairs. Big wide staircases no lift. The pub next door has a good selection of food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed our stay. .”
