“It’s a cool place built in 1902. The owner and staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious with great views Like most of the town, it could sure use some paint”

“Ian was great checking us in , our room was unfortunately hot , the walls are paper thin and the beds are sloped from people sitting on the sides of them . Once people stopped walking around in there rooms (yes you can hear them walking in the rooms next door so if their talking u can hear every detail ) . Breakfast was very nice and included . We would not stay there again due to the heat and the noise and uncomfortable beds .”

“Really wonderful stay overall. Despite the following comments we really enjoyed our stay, our room, the location and great service. Felt that the lack of air conditioning was a deficit especially in the soon to be warm weather. And the heat lamp/bathroom fan combo in the bathroom a little warm for the summertime but probably marvellous in the cold seasons. Room had a ceiling fan, windows that opened and were screened. Plus an available large circulating fan for our comfort. Having no elevator...

“Restaurants were excellent”

“I stayed here the night before I caught the ferry and it was fantastically comfortable. The only issue that I had, and it was very minor, was finding the check-in instructions, but it was no trouble - another guest showed me the way. Well, there was a second issue. The driveway is very steep with some very sharp turns. I had everything I owned in the back of my pickup, so with the added weight, it was problematic for me to maneuver the driveway.
