Decent Place to stay in the heart of Sandton

overall, great stay. The staff are amazing and very helpful, willing to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable, that's what I like the more I believe. The room was decent but it could definitely use a little finesse and extra attention. Some of the furniture in the room I was in could use an update. Also, whenever taking a shower, water would go out through the bottom, in the bathroom... I couldn't understand. Breakfast was great, decent with a large selection, I enjoyed it. I would probably go back again, but perhaps choose a different type of room to compare with what I had.

The hotel room was quite comfortable. It was very easy to get an Uber or taxi to and from the hotel. There were very nice restaurants nearby and I even found a Pilates class at a hotel nearby along with a spa with a sauna, steam room, nail, and massage services. For massages at the Capital Empire you can ask in advance and they will have someone come to the massage rooms. The in-room a/c worked very well and the wifi was great for personal and business use. I do want to note that the pool is right next to the restaurant and bar, more exposed than what I'm used to, the standard room does not come with a tub (photos are misleading), and while the rooms are soundproof, you can still hear street noise if you're on the side facing the street. The water pressure was fine, but just on the lower side. The food at the hotel was good overall, but the pizza left more to be desired. Also, the gym does not have a treadmill. I did enjoy my stay overall. I chose this hotel because a friend that I was visiting was staying there.

Rolling sliding bins!

Everything was fine, but we were in room 133 and below us was the constant rolling and sliding of what sounded like bins, went on until after midnight. Kept waking up with the noise.

Needs major renovations. Things were old, chipped,cracked. The staff was super nice, but I just couldn't get comfortable so I left and booked another hotel.

Trevligt att komma tillbaka till Capital Empire. Lagom stort hotell. Blev uppgraderad till en lägenhet. Mycket bra frukost och helt OK Restaurang. Minus för inget löpband i gymmet och trasigt lås på dörren som man inte åtgärdade trots anmärkning

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and the room setup is great. However we consistently had problems with water not being hot and the bathrooms have signs of wear and tear. The biggest problem was the noise level. There was a party on one night and church on another. I think it would be great if they warned guests in advance. There was also no concierge when we arrived and had to move our own luggage.
