"I thought it was a beautiful location. Right on the beach with snorkeling at the black Rock. Loved the food and shaved ice! The hotel staff were not very friendly. The gift shop clerk was very friendly and the towel staff also very friendly. The staff at the Starbucks on site need more work no eye contact and no smiling all 3 days we ate there. They did seem stressed Also the lady at the breakfast stand not friendly, not a big deal just ruins the ambience. Also do not like that they claim to give you a gift before departure but really they just want to get you to their stand to advertise getting a time share or deals to come back. Very annoying. Lastly their showers to wash our feet were all broken. We had to bring much sand to the room. The location is perfect beautiful and very convenient but if they didn’t have that they would get a very low rating."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were clean and neat! Pools were good, especially the Hyatt Regency Vacation Club. Bedrooms were very clean."

"We had a fantastic time! Our condo was a little dated, but it was so practical and clean with a great location that I didn’t mind. If you stay at The Whaler, try to get a room on the north side of the south tower or the south side of the north tower. Our room was on the south side of the south tower and our view was good, but the other views would have been spectacular! Also, being able to walk to the shops, restaurants and activities in front of of the Whaler was awesome. So much more convenient than moving a car!"
Aston at Papakea Resort

"We moved our stay at the Papakea resort. It was close to lots of things, very clean, and our room had a beautiful view. The light went out in our bathroom and the staff were quick to come and fix it which was great. A couple things that could be better with our specific room and not with the resort overall is that there was very little kitchen equipment and zero Tupperware containers. Lucky we weren’t planning to do very much cooking but it would’ve been a challenge if we had. The knives were super dull and had rust on them but we made due. Overall this is a great resort and we would come back but these are a couple things that if addressed would make this unit even better!"
