"Food was good a lot of options. Some staff were very kind especially the sun club lounge but others seemed like they didn't want to talk to me or me asking for help was an issue for them. The buffet has good food but if you are trying to go for breakfast make sure you go early otherwise there will be a big line, same as dinner. The pools are nice but the best is the beach with the crystal clear water. Room was clean and only some times they would forget to fill the mini bar but as long as you let them know they would go and fill it up. The only issue with our room was one of the glass shower doors was missing so whenever we took a shower it would make a mess all over the floor."

"Acoya resort looks very well maintained, big diversity of plants, trees and flowers, great atmosphere. Nice swimming pool, lots of space to sit around it, big pond with birds. Breakfast was with everything you could wish for, all fresh and on the right temperature. Tables are inside and outside. The room was perfect, very clean, fresh towels every day, quiet during the night. Had dinner with friends in the restaurant, ordered different dishes all very well prepared and tasty. Service was also very good. Life music in the evening. All staff members are very friendly. Acoya also provides several free shuttles to the beach and center of the city. "I would definitely stay again at this property. There were five us (2 adults, 2 teens and a 1 1/2 year old) and there was a enough space for us. We did a slight issue with a smell in the small bedroom, but it was manageable. Our toddler was able to sleep in a pack in play in the closet in the main bedroom, giving her a little privacy. The pool was great, it has a kiddie pool portion, and the private beach was easy to get to, pretty, and nice to have. But we loved the balcony most - spending our mornings and evenings there, and the less than 5 minute talk to Mambo Beach and the Aqurium were perfect for our family. It was easy to get out, get food, rent beach chairs on the beach, etc. Also having our own parking spot was nice so we could easily park after exploring the island. The staff was wonderful - super responsive and helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed this place and would come back. "
