Excellent authentic riad!
Beautiful riad in the southern part of old town. Really close to saadian tombs. You might find it awkwrd at first winding through the alleyways but once inside the riad is very comfortable and beautiful with a nice terrace and courtyard to relax in. The host Hussen made us very welcome by helping us out with questions, picking us up at 3 am from the main street outside when our airport transfer failed to show up because of flight delay. He cooked us a varied fresh breakfast everyday and was willing to go above and beyond. Nothing was too much to ask for. Housekeeping was very good. If you want to experience authentic Marrakech then this a really good riad to stay at. There are only 6 rooms so the staff are at your sevice when you need them. All the main attractions are within walking distance and there are many routes to djema al fna. Loads of restaurants and cafes nearby. There are also lots of mosques nearby, closest one being a min walk away. One peice of advice dont book the cheapest room as it is very tiny with no door between the bed and bathroom. All the other rooms are fine.
Hussen also advised to not ask the teenagers outside for directions back if we got lost because they will ask for money. But to ask older people. We found however people were generally very friendly and we felt safe making our way back to the riad at night. This riad made our stay in marrakech a lot more memorable.
