Lovely Riad, amazing breakfast

The Riad is lovely and breakfast is excellent. Friendly and nice staff as well. I would only suggest that when arriving at night, make sure you take their transport. The Riad is not accessible by car, and at night it might be difficult to get to when you don't know the area.

We chose this riad for two reasons, because of the wonderful reviews and because of the location. We wanted to be in the old part of Marrakech to experience the culture and the people and we weren’t disappointed. The riad is down a side street off the Main Street of the area. During the day the street is full of life. Local people selling fruit vegetables, a gentleman with a loom making scarves, children playing and the general bustle of life. The people said bonjour when we passed, nobody in this area hassled us to buy from them and the area felt safe and friendly. When we arrived we were met from our taxi, given mint tea and a map of the area. Time was taken to talk with us about what we might like to see and do during our stay. We were very grateful for this and the advice and map we were given proved to be very useful on several occasions. Nothing was too much trouble and all of our questions were answered fully. Our room was small but beautiful, had air conditioning and was immaculate as was the rest of the riad. The bed was firm and comfortable and after a day walking around the city I had no problem sleeping! The room was cleaned every day with clean towels and bedding. We felt bad as we are so messy! Everything was kept to a very high standard. Breakfast was slightly different each day with bananas, cream cheese, jam, honey and French bread offered alongside traditional Moroccan breads and pancakes. The roof terrace is lovely. Excellent hotel staff

Wonderful stay. About 10-15 minutes walk from main square. Staff are fantastic - ready with maps and information when you need. Breakfast delicious!!! Left early in the morning and was still made for us. Recommend!

In the heart of the old city

We had a wonderful time in Marrakesh. We loved visiting the Souks and all the historical sites. The hotel arranged for someone to pick us up / drop us off to the airport. One less thing we needed to figure out and worked out perfectly. We took a couple day excursions which was arranged by the hotel. Our excursion guide (Abdul) was great and so helpful. We had a well air conditioned (so important with 109 degree weather) private tour van and Abdul our guide was very insightful. On our way to Essaouira we visited the tree goats, an Argan oil cooperative, spent the day in Essaouira. Our other day excursion we went to the Atlas Mountain. Our way there we stopped to ride camels (which was fun) and had lunch on the river bank at a nice restaurant. After lunch we climbed the mountain (with a guide) to the top to enjoy the beautiful waterfall at the top. We had a great experience visiting Marrakesh. Thank you Riad Shaden for taking great care of us.

Mitten im Trubel von Marrakech

Ich kann diesen Riad nur empfehlen. Er liegt mitten im Trubel der Media und ist nicht mal so schwer zu finden. Keine Restaurants unmittelbar daneben, aber das Zentrum erreicht man in wenigen Minuten und der Weg dahin ist der Hammer... Cool auch das Frühstück im Innenhof oder, wenn man nur fragt, auf der schönen Terrasse. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hat uns in allen Lebenslagen immer geholfen. Einziges kleines Manko: es gibt nur Nichtraucherzimmer. Aber klar, wir würden sofort wieder dahin fahren!

Dieses Riad erfüllt nicht die Erwartungen, welche im Internet suggeriert werden. Zimmer sehr klein, Kleiderschränke schliessen nicht, Zimmer nicht abschliessbar, keine Minibar, nicht mal einen Kühlschrank für Gäste. Dusche nur ein Rinnsal. Essen nur auf Voranmeldung. Personal ist jedoch freundlich und hilft wo es kann. Lage ist in einer Schmutzigen Sackgasse ohne Licht. Wer die Einfachheit liebt wird es verschmerzen können.

Genau das Richtige für uns

Riad Shaden ist klein, sympathisch, ruhig und sehr sauber. Zu jeder Zeit ist jemand freundliches erreichbar sei es für eine Auskunft oder wenn man Hilfe benötigt. Für einen Tagesausflug wurde uns ein Chauffeur mit Wagen organisiert den wir mit einer netten Familie (Nachbarn) teilen durften. Auch 2x Nachtessen hat uns prima geschmeckt. Also Freude herrscht!!

What a lovely place to stay....the staff were really kind and helpful..the food was great. And it was situated right in the.medina 10min walk from the square... Would definitley reccomend riad shaden as a great place to stay

Questo accogliente riad si trova appena fuori dal caotico centro di marrakesh pur restado all'interno della mura della medina.la piazza si raggiunge in 15 minuti di camminata attraversando vie popolate da gente locale e meno turisti. Il riad sia all'interno delle stanze che all'esterno presenta un arredo tipico marocchino,bagno privato in camera,connessione wi-fi e condizionatore,necessario nella torride giornate estive. Il personale è molto attento e pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta,organizzano inoltre numerose escursioni a prezzi decisamente piu concorrenziali delle varie agenzie sparse per la città. Offre inoltre la possibilità di cenare al suo interno a prezzi però non molto competitivi rispetto alla allo standard locale. molto consigliato!!
