Tally Ho is a wonderful boutique hotel. Charming. Large room, balcony, terrific bed, great large bathroom with a large shower. All that was wonderful, and the staff was terrific adding to the ambiance. We were for only two nights. Next time several nights.

Upscale Boutique Hotel Location

Wonderful location and beautifully decorated rooms. Love the spacious marble bathroom with jacuzzi bathtub and glass shower and the large private balcony with ocean views. Staff very friendly and convenient parking. Already booked for next year.

The location of tally ho in is what made our stay. The hotel itself is outdated, musty, and has zero soundproofing so any movement from our upstairs or outside neighbors woke us in the night.

Quaint and sweet. Loved the European vibe, the Dutch door, outdoor fireplace setting. Staff was attentive. But the room could have used a little update. Some repairs needed to make it feel like the perfect getaway.

We loved staying here and will absolutely come back. The location cannot be beat. We loved having 2 bathrooms and all the extra room, plus the outdoor fireplace. The best part is how walkable it is to everything in Carmel By The Sea. The only tiny complaint is the parking garage is so narrow - hard to park an SUV down there, but all the other positives far and beyond make up for that one small detail.

The room was exactly like the picture. It was roomy, well laid out and the deck would have been lovely if weren’t raining. The staff were friendly and responsive. The location is convenient to everything and is downhill from most things, so when you’re tired and headed back at night, gravity is on your side. All the furniture is comfy and that bathtub is huge. I would absolutely stay at the Tally Ho again.

The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel staff was super friendly, even surprising us with a bottle of champaign for my wife's birthday. The restaurant, Il Fornaio, was an excellent restaurant with a Michelin quality menu and wonderful service. We were super impressed with servers Francisco and Kathy for each of our dining room experience. They were incredibly professional, personable, and helpful with our meal selection. We truly had a wonderful experience overall at Tally Ho.

There is no microwave or kitchenette in the room or coffee maker in the room. There is a very small college dorm refrigerator. Only able to charge the phones on one night stand not both. Not enough towels were given.

Good but expected more for the price

Pros: We stayed in the most expensive type of room so we had a beautiful view, a fireplace and a large quiet room and large marble bathroom. The location was great and free parking in Carmel is wonderful! Cons: the TV was impossible to watch because of constant rebuffering. The outdoor deck had an area of rotting wood which seemed dangerous. The decor needed some updating. And for the price I expected a happy hour or maybe at least some welcoming cookies on arrival.
