There is a terrific food hall on the same block, as well as access on the same block in the other direction. The check-in at the Hotel de Hallen (one block away) was effortless, and we were greeted by friendly and gracious folks behind the desk. ...

"Lovely place to stay and quite near the train station. For daytripping on the train it is a great location. Points of interest within Amsterdam were rather far away for walking and the closest tram stop was also a hike. But a canal tour was very nearby."
