"Staff were very helpful - especially the ladies handling the breakfasts, who never seemed to stop running around taking care of everyone (gluten-free options were provided, including breads, granola and cookies). The room (405) was nice overall, but in need of some maintenance (e.g. for the blinds on the 6 window panes: 2 were in good condition with their pulls intact ; 2 were OK, but missing their pull tabs which made them harder to operate ; the last window pane had its blind missing completely (which made it hard to darken the room). Soundproofing was definitely lacking, and the noise from the nearby road and the all-night bars just across the road could make it hard to sleep at times. We picked the hotel for its proximity to Charles Bridge, but failed to take into account that the location could also make it loud inside the hotel room. There was also a bad sewer smell just outside the hotel main door - not sure of the origin."

"The hotel is conveniently located. Had problems with internet but fixed day 2. Nice place Do not recommend Eco tours located at hotel. Took expensive scooter tour and felt unsafe. Decided to quit for safety sake. The guide was good but left the manager to pick up scooter and left me in a park high above city alone. The manager came to pick up scooter and was abandoning me in the park. I asked about a taxi and he said it was not his fault. I did not ask for refund just a taxi back to hotel. Manager offered to call me taxi but kept berating me for asking for help. I told him to leave if he did not stop blaming me for being left. Manager did not care I was left alone, no phone to call taxi and no Polish to ask for help. He took off and left me in the park. It took me over an hour to walk far enough to get internet to call for help. If I had been injured riding scooter I fear Eco would have left me to take care of myself. Do not trust this company. No care for their clients."

"This hotel is very well located on the 'quieter', less touristy side of the river while only a short walk to the tram station. The centre is easily walkable and there is a huge park within a stone's throw which takes you through to the funicular and observation tower. Because you are on the quieter side, food tends to be a touch cheaper too. The hotel is older in style but gives that authentic Prague feel and experience and is very in keeping with the style of the buildings. Breakfast was included (buffet style) and covered all bases. A very generous spread, making a great start to the day. The only criticism would be that air-conditioning is not provided during spring and winter months. The weather in May this year was quite warm so we slept with the window open however, the bin men do their thing on a Monday morning so you are subjected to people putting their bins out around 4:00am onwards and the noise of them being emptied later on (around 5:00am)! Subsequent nights were a lot quieter thankfully. We used park and ride as parking is expensive in the city and hard to come by. Park and ride worked out very cheap although you have to time it right - weekends are best and outside 9 to 5 on weekdays. I would recommend this hotel as a reasonable price, well located hotel, and the breakfast is a bonus."
