North Cincinnati, Ohio hotel rooms at the Independent

"Staff was helpful but because it was booked we were made to stay in a room that had questionable stains and horrible smells"

"Staff were wonderful- above and beyond. Unfortunately, it smelled weird- like someone tried to spray to cover up pot smell. Room smell (cleaning products, I assume) was overpowering but room was very clean. W.C. light didn’t work. Elevator was a little scary- it’s obviously been around for a while. The first floor bar/restaurant was closed and that was our “dinner” plans for the two nights. By a highway, so pretty loud no matter where you are… but that’s not their fault- just a warning to pay for a premium city view unless you don’t mind the noise. "

"Excellent place to stay when in town for a Reds game. Parking was VERY expensive but easy to use. Room was large and clean. Evening staff was hard to find but check in and check out were efficient."

"Awful stay. People at desk not helpful. Our toilet was clogged so had to wait until someone finally came to fix it which caused us to not be able to go out that night. Pipes were very loud so did not get any sleep. Holes in the wall and in the ceiling in hall way. Would NEVER stay here again. Very sad when you have a weekend away and $$ is wasted at this hotel. "
