"This cottage is centrally located for some great walks. It is located at the top of a high street with locally owned businesses and a CoOp. It is extremely quiet despite being next door to a pub and near the shops. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything anyone could need for a self-catering accommmodation. "I found Justin to be a welcoming and helpful host. The bedroom was comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. I would recommend Manston Guest House as a good place to stay, in a quiet area close to Sturminster Newton."

"This Inn is a olde style building with wooden beams in the bedrooms etc. As such with this type of building there are low ceilings and hardly a straight wall anywhere. We found that our room although quaint wasn’t spotless as other places we’ve stayed. One of the two window blinds didn’t work, we couldn’t get it to drop down. Not a huge issue as the other blind did close. The biggest issue for us was that one of the two electric fans in the room was so dirty that if you had switched it on the layers of dust on it would have flown around the room. In saying this, we had booked a meal for the night we stayed, the food was excellent and the entire place filled with customers, a sure sign of quality food. The breakfast the next morning was excellent with plenty of choice. The full English we had was cooked to order and arrived hot, would highly recommend."

"We enjoyed our two night stay in this delightful, characterful inn. Our room was very clean and the bed most comfortable. Staff were charming and helpful. Breakfast choices were excellent and well prepared. Our evening meal was OK: we were disappointed with the duck bao bun starter- too little filling, and could have done with a dipping sauce. However my husband’s chicken and ham pie was very tasty and the chilli chicken curry was very pleasant. All in all good value and recommended for a few nights stay. We would go again."

"Plumber Manor is a perfect place to stay if you want a peaceful retreat in beautiful gardens , a comfortable bed and delicious food. It has a well stocked bar and the wine prices are reasonable. The only negative was the wifi was weak in the courtyard room we stayed in which caused ‘buffering’ when watching a film. We mentioned it to staff and it will be rectified. It is a family owned hotel so the service feels personal. Somewhere we would definitely like to return to. There are many interesting places to visit nearby, including the Jurassic coast and National Trust properties. The hotel staff will help to plan your day."
