“Expedia did not relay my original request for a twin-bedded room (we were two elderly ladies) and we were allocated VERY SMALL double bed which was totally unacceptable. Fortunately the hotel were eventually able to arrange a twin-bedded room by splitting a king size bed into two sections and the situation was resolved. BUT it could have spoiled our holiday had a solution not been found (the hotel was fully booked).”

They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. The sink does not have a mixer tap, and the hot water is scalding, while there is almost no water pressure for the shower. “Wonderful clean room with many amenities. Exceptional dinner and breakfast all served by very friendly staff. Hotel is in a beautiful setting with lovely large patio, plenty of outside comfortable seating with marvellous views across the gardens. Second time we have stayed here and will definitely be back again!”

“Nice enough hotel but very tired and a bit out of the way. Moved here after one night in Premier Inn which was much nicer and better located. No breakfast option as far as we could tell.”

“Great spot, easy to drive to. Rooms good size, we had a twin room with 2 single beds which looked like they were usually fastened together to make a double. Singles quite narrow.”

“We thought we’d booked a room and were given a suite on two floors which was novel. The staff were great and the breakfast fine. Dinner was excellent although a little expensive although I may be poor of date. We didn’t have time to try the pool but it looked good. You do have to book a time slot. We would stay again but prefer a room in the main house.”
