Arriving at the check-in of this hotel I could feel a strong stench of sewage from the lobby inside. Much worse, there is no elevator, and therefore the lobby is very dirty. Thinking times before booking will make your vacation a nightmare.

The code to the door lock malfunctioned multiple times. They didn’t have extra towels to supply when needed. If you just a place to sleep close to 5th street and the beach this is good for that.

I liked the localization, I didnt enjoy the beach club. I liked the pool, I didnt like the TV was blocked. I liked the food in another hotel, I dint like that it was mandatory to pay for it. I liked the room but the hotel needs general maintenance. Thank you.

The staff tried to be helpful after asking a few times to be moved. The smell in the first two rooms they put us in was so horrible I slept on the balcony the first night cause the smell was nauseating that was coming from the sewer pipe in the bathroom. Very noisy in the front. They put us in a room in the back and ithe smell wasn't as bad and it was quieter. Breakfast was good and served buffet style.

Great staff! Clean rooms but there was a lot of mold on the property, but not in the room. The sliding glass door to the balcony didn’t lock and it was a shared balcony! My friends room had no blanket.

Pros: generally nice, great location, friendly staff, rooftop is great Cons: they hit me with a mandatory fee in person for breakfast and beach club entry. They didn't have change. Low water pressure in the bathroom. No one came to clean my room while I was there.

Shower wasnr working properly at night i woke up 3 times because of noise you can hear people on the stairs i give them 2 stars couple years ago i stayed there it was much better condition i had to chane room twice to fond descent room one balcony lock was broken amother time safe didnt lock i give them 2 star

I booked 2 rooms 2 weeks in advance only to show up and have them say they overbooked and gave away one room. Upon seeing the room there was mold growing on the bathroom ceiling and around the AC unit.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The first night, we had to change rooms because the AC was spitting a large amount of water and ice at a plug on the wall. We had a mini swimming pool when we entered to the room. The shower curtain in this room was the cheapest curtain you can imagine. The some of the hooks were missing, so it was very trashy and ghetto specially with the price we paid. Also this hotel had internet issues, so they didn't have internet for my 2 days. I was lucky to have data in my phone. The 2nd room we stayed, was better looking but still too much $ for what we got. There are better and prettier hotels in playa for the same or less money. We had another family (we were 2 adults with out moms) coming up to playa, so we left the hotel and we booked a different one bc I knew it wasn't the best and the non Internet was a big problem. The girls at the reception were nice and always trying to help. I never saw a room like the one they show at these pictures. It is like 2 diff hotels

You get what you pay for
You are what you are paying for, but when I stayed there like 3 years ago the service, the room and the cleanliness was way better. I stayed there before they had the pool. Location is great, but other than that its changed. The front desk agent was too casual and had some friends hanging out with her.

Aruma is amazing

Rude stuff, lack of respect to the business
Stayed at this hotel on my extended trip. Good location but extremely rude stuff. Management does not care for clients and will not let you talk to owners to resolve issue. Stayed here over a month they keep changing stuff that is not trained to work in hospitality environment. They will try to charge for a guest even if its just one and make you feel uncomfortable for visitors (including rooftop visits) which is more simple with all other hotels i've stayed in. Be carefull with safety boxes batteries are not replaced when needed and if you have to leave fast you might have to wait for master key.

I would have loved to continue supporting you, it was more than 30 nights trying to support you in everything that was in our hands, we even supported you on several occasions without paying your nights until 2 days later, because we understood the situation with your charges on your card, unfortunately You have another vision and we respect it, with respect to your visits, they all entered without any extra charge, but how do you know and it is described, how in any hotel for the same security of our guests an ID is requested, I hope you understand the importance of all our Guests count on the protection and security including you, in the same way if a visitor will use the facilities in any hotel it is considered a Day pass and has a cost, I think you are a bit confused with the concept of "visit" or "day pass" Regarding the safe, in all the hotels the batteries run out and have to be replaced, you asked the maids to open the box for you and as described Not everyone has access to the "master key" for opening and requires your presence, the opening of the safe was done in less than 5 minutes. I hope you understand the processes because you will find them in any hotel. Your stay with Expedia was a couple of nights, our treatment was very special towards you and as you liked it very much, that is why you decided to be our direct client without the intervention of any agency. I consider that your last nights you had a bad time due to the problem of your card, we would like you to understand that how any other hotel must be paid one day before the stay ... Each comment always helps us to reinforce and improve our service, we would have loved that with all this time that a friendship and excellent treatment had been achieved, you would have considered it before making this comment. For our part, it will be a pleasure to support you again with your stay in what you find the AirB & B that you were looking for so much and to be able to offer you at least one Day Pass so that you can return to our facilities and make use of the beach club. Hotel is centrically located. One block from 5th Avenue and 2 blocks from beach. Internet was good except it went out briefly a couple of times and in the evening it was weaker. I work remotely that Is why I’m in tune with the internet. The pool is small but nice. It is not easy accessible if you can’t walk steps. There is no elevator so you will need to carry your bags up and down. The rooms nice but in the small size. They clean the rooms and hallways with an awful smelling fragrance so I had to keep my window open all the time so I can breath. If you are sensitive to fragrances then you may want to talk to them before you arrive. I think so common practice in many hotels to spray the rooms with fragrance and also use it to all the floors. I’m highly sensitive and can’t breath so it’s a problem for me.

Great location! Very nice, modern and clean. What i had an issue with, the restroom sink had no water pressure, so all i got was a little dribble of water when i opened the faucet. This made it extremely difficult to brush teeth, wash face, shave etc. I brought this issue up (on day one)to the young lady at the front desk that checked me in.... but nothing was done about the issue, nothing was fixed!

My friend and I stayed here for two nights while passing through playa Del Carmen. The room was very clean and we each had our own bed. We were on the ground floor beside the restaurant which was quite noisy if you were trying to sleep in, in the morning. The other floors are probably a little quieter. The water was hot and the AC cool. I found the quality to be in line with what we paid.

Worst hotel without sleep and with cold water!@
We're writing down this reviwe while we at this horrible hotel, trying to get some sleep after a busy day. we came for a honeymoon and informed the hotel about it and also we would like a quiet room. A few moments befote check in The lady in reception repeat and said today it will be quiet because the dance club next to us will be open just tommorow - What a terible nightmare, we try to move rooms but its so loud!! And all top of all No Hot Water in shower!!! we asked the ladies in the front desk that they won't charge us and we'll check out and move to a difrent hotel which we could actually Sleep! but they said No and add "Its never quiet in here!! So Beware if you want to sleep stay elswhere!!!

Unsafe Experience
Checked into the hotel, the staff knew no English, none whatsoever. The rooms were very clean however, our bathroom kept flooding and the door to our room was literally made of cardboard, very unsafe. I could have literally kicked the door in if I wanted to, made my mother and I feel very uneasy about sleeping there. Did not realize how close we were to Coco Bongo, apparently the most noisy club on the block. The party doesn't stop until about 7am then the crowed moves outside of the club, directly in front of Sasha hotel. Insulation is terrible, we could hear people sneezing, screaming, fighting, cops arrived, the whole bit. It was an awful experience. Ended up switching hotels after the first night.

Pleasant surprise
Booked this place on Hotels.com on the way to Playa. Somewhat small, but completely comfortable and well appointed room in an outstanding location within walking distance to all points of interest in Playa Del Carmen. All staff was courteous and helpful. Couldn't be more pleased. Stayed one night, then came back for 5 more. Will be back again.

Hotel under major renovations
When I arrived they did not have the room I paid for, i picked a better room on this site and paid extra for the upgrade. When I checked in all they had was a basic room. They were also doing major renovations on the room next door. At 10am they started banging on the walls and it lasted all day. When I asked about it at the front desk, all they said was" yea it's going to be like that for several days"
