"This was our second time here. We could not wait to go back because we wanted to stay in building 3 in a swim out since they go right into the main pool with the swim up bar. We sent several requests asking for building 3. Always received a response saying they have that in our notes. I know you can not always guarantee the building you request. However, the ENTIRE building 3 was closed for our entire stay. An email to let us know that we could not have our request would have been nice. It is a shame because we brought other people with us who were looking forward to these swim up rooms. We liked the food and the entertainment staff were amazing. Because of lack of communication, we most likely will not be back."

"They had mosquitoes and they bitten me up it was near the drop off front last stop if was waiting around to be picked up there you were fair game for those mosquitoes. I started walking back to my area you could not stand around and wait for the trolley in that area."

"Valentin Imperial is a fantastic resort with superior cleanliness, rich cultural authenticity, lively entertainment, and a great dining policy. If they upgrade their liquor and craft beer program to match competitor standards, it would easily be a flawless 5-star experience. As tequila, mezcal, and beer drinkers, we were disappointed by the bar options. There was only one choice of mezcal available across the resort, with no upgraded options even for an extra charge. The tequila and beer selection felt similarly restricted. The brands categorized as "premium" here are standard base inclusions at comparable luxury resorts in the area (such as Impression Moxché or Atelier Playa Mujeres)."

"Stayed for 5 nights from 12-17 October 2026. Check-in was fast and efficient. We booked a preferred ocean view room which had separate check-in area. The first room missed the mark. A view of trees and ongoing construction work that we weren’t aware of. Several phone calls and a visit to front desk, we were allocated a room in Block 25 with an ocean view and the pool. Rooms are super spacious, lovely furnishings and balcony. Daily room cleaning, mini bar restock and concierge. As preferred customers you have a lounge with bar and snacks, an outdoor restaurant along the beach and a preferred beach area. To be honest, we didn’t utilise all of the extra perks that came with preferred because the general pool, beach and bar service were excellent. The staff were so friendly and happy to greet you, the food - we ate at the French restaurant which was amazing and the steak restaurant next to the seafood. We also tried the hydro pool and had a couples massage. The Spa is fantastic. This is our second time visiting and even with the renovations taking place it didn’t impact our stay too much however I would have liked notification of this before we arrived."
