To get to propert u have to search for "riviera residences" in tulum and then pass a security guard and he will tell u where vallhala residence is once u are in the gate, its in the same road as the fire station passing a huge palapa on the right side

We were advised to go to Playa Paradiso where we walked onto the beach. Immediately we were offered two lounge chairs and umbrella for the day for about $20.00. We took it but the place started to fill up and get very noisy. We decided to walk to the right on the beach and two beach clubs down, found Playa Esperanza which was much quieter, provided lounge chairs and changing rooms and bathrooms, for free, if you ordered food or drinks. We ate lunch there and it was fabulous food and great prices. The next day we just went directly to Playa Esperanza.

Seaweed is a problem. This is not a beach to lounge at due to the seaweed crisis- which is occurring all along the coast.

I mentioned in my review that the free lounge chairs are located under several coconut bearing palm trees and a huge one fell, almost striking my mother. Falling coconuts are a leading cause of accidental death in tropical areas. I didn't know this at the time, but now that I do I'm outraged that they would put all their lounge chairs under them. Someone could literally die while laying at the beach and this is not ok. This issue must be addressed.

the beach still has a lot of seaweed which makes me very sad. The beautiful crystal blue waters are no longer visible in some areas but the area is well maintained and there are people picking up as much of the seaweed as they can every day. $17 USD gets you a bed on the beach with passes to the restroom and the showers, plus a server to take your drink and food orders (for additional costs, of course).
