“Love the property. We stayed in building 6 (one of the 3 with a private hot tub on the patio). Had a small kitchen with dishes, a hot plate, and mini fridge. Most excursions will NOT pick up from this property, as it is out of the way. We had a rental car, so everything worked out. Driving to this location is not for the faint of heart. However, it is beautiful and private. Just what we were looking for. There is a small outdoor restaurant on sight. Service was a little slow and seemed focused...

“We flew in to San Jose around 12pm. We headed out of town towards La Fortuna. I thought this would get us out of the city and close to our first day of activities. The area was quiet. The room was very clean. We speak very little Spanish and the staff spoke very little English. However we were able to communicate to get what we needed. The hotel is one block from the Main Street. We found the supermarket with ease. The breakfast was wonderful. Fresh fruit with a large breakfast of beans...

“It was just extremely dated it looked like the Flintstones designed and decorated it. The pool could be nicer and better tbh, however the view was incredible!! I also believe they can have a nicer and indoor breakfast area; especially because it rains a lot and it was wet and out in the open. ”

“Hotel Sanctuarium deserves high praises. The property is absolutely stunning from the moment you pull in to the front gate to the welcoming staff waiting for you at the door. Such a warm welcoming with a welcoming drink and a tour of the property. Even have access to the river. The room is spacious and clean with a walk in waterfall shower head.
