"We booked two nights stay at Surfside resort.
Check in Wednesday 5/27 to Friday 5/29 check out.
We are vacationing on the Oregon coast.
On Thursday morning, we went out for a visit to the town.
We put out the “room Service please” sign on the door.
Returned home around 4 PM to find out our room keys were not working.
We checked with the person at the front desk. He discovered that they had checked us in for only one day rather than the two days that we had paid for.
We told him we needed the maid service and the linen replaced.
We had been out on a hike and we had some dirty linen and the room needed clean up.
He told us that you have to be in your room between 10 and 12 noon and let the maid know you want the room serviced.
We told him that we are here to visit the town and why would we stay in the room to talk to the maid?
Besides, the front desk had not assigned the room to us for a second night.
The maid would have no reason to check with us about cleaning the room.
The front desk told us they cannot clean the room.
He did not even offer us a set of clean linens
I am very upset with the way we were treated.
We did enjoy the Motel location right on the beach with partial view of the ocean.
