โI had a great stay at the Merchant. While walking through the beautiful hotel and the George Washington room where I slept, I couldnโt help but wonder if the place is haunted. Itโs old and modern. Staff were friendly. Parking lot is right around the corner. I had the best shower there in my life. The water felt so good. Thinking of returning sometime in the future. โ
โThis is a quirky little boutique hotel with tons of character and charm and located in a perfect part of all the action. I love it for my go-to when I need a place to fall for a night. โ
โThe property is beautiful. The most comfortable bed we slept in all week! We had a late checkin but we sent checkin instructions that were easy to follow and had no issues. Everything was perfect! Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend. โ
โeasy and quick access to the streets since our goal was to walk around salem. during a big heat warning we were able to go back and forth and take breaks in the hotel. front desk girls were very nice.โ
โVery nice place to stay. Super cute and clean. So many extras. Unfortunately not ideal for my tall husband. The shower was a bit small for his size but just right for me. The roses in the yard smelled great. Thanks for a great stay. โ
โAs you pull into the property thereโs a beautiful fountain. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and offered dining suggestions.
The rooms are amall and microwaves arenโt provided. โ
โExcept for the 5 smoking guests on the bench to the right of the door the property would of gotten an excellent score. There needs to be a designated smoking spot away from the hotel. Maybe at the top of the parking lot in the back. Other than that we really liked our stay. It was really clean and comfy with staff to match. The kids loved the breakfast and got full. Said they had lots of options. Is a place we would stay at again if ever in the area. โ
