“The view was amazing. The room was clean however it had an unpleasant smell. I would stay here again for the view alone, but I would bring air freshners. The bed was comfortable, the walls where thin, which was fine if you and your neighbors are respectful.”

“We booked an oceanview room and the experience was not worth the expensive price. Pillows had some stains and hair strands. The vents looked dirty. There’s no AC but heat only. There is a fan provided. The wooded frames near the windows were peeling apart. The ocean view was not what was advertised given that the ocean was not direct view. There were no issues parking or checking in. There is a microwave and a fridge. Overall, it needs more maintenance and better housekeeping. Not terrible but...

“Easy check in, beautiful room with all amenities, highly recommend. We were only passing thru and stayed one night but this was our 4th stop and by far the best! Loved the coffee bar area in the large community room.”

“You check in on line so there is no staff interaction. the room was clean, neat and cozy. The shower is small. You can hear someone walking around above because the floor creaks and the walls and floors are old and not insulated very well. Parking is available and the harbor shops and restaurants are close and within walking distance.”

“I saw this place was rated 8.4 so figured it would be good. The whole area smells like fish including in the room. The walls are paper thin and could literally hear the guy next door farting. The bed was small and so was the tv. Overall just not great. ”

“We stay here a lot, and actually it is the only great place to stay in Coos Bay/North Bend area, sorry to say all other places are horrible. Edge Water is wonderful, clean, recently restored and ran by great caring people. We have had any issues or bad experience at Edge Water for years we've been staying.”

“The room was not ready even after 3 pm”

“Had to ask repeatedly for fresh sheets and bath towels and they finally cleaned the room after 3 days of requesting it. Even hung the sign up for service but it got ignored. We were the only room that had a car there for 5 days and they couldn’t even get our room cleaned even when we called for service day after day. Just excuses on why they didn’t check it. Always had an excuse for everything. No a/c like advertised. No view of the bay unless you walk outside and go to the side of the building...

“We were greeted by our contact person, Gail, who is friendly and personable. And a terrific artist as you will see when you are on the property. This is a very cute, fun and artsy apartment. We used the bedroom at the front of the house and found it roomy and the bed is very comfortable. The water pressure is outstanding and the hot water arrives almost instantly. The kitchen is fully stocked. Just bring your own food. We will definitely book a room here when we are near Winchester Bay again.”
