"This is my third time staying at margaritaville and this what I’ve learned:
• this previous time I booked a standard room over the other options. This made our stay 7/10. There was no view from the balcony but the street, it was on the fourth floor all the way at the end of the hallway. The bed was much more stiff than the other room options. It was also hot in the room despite the temp being set to 69. Much different experience than our previous stays.
• The restaurants on the property are very over priced. I’ve tried breakfast and dinner and still the only thing I think is worth the money is the cheeseburger. Coffee and drinks are $12+, snacks from the retail store are $4+. My advice, bring your own snacks and drinks and try the local food trucks on the beach.
• I’m also a seafood enthusiast. I eat seafood 1-2 times weekly in all forms. Sea food pasta, sea food boil, sea food salad, etc. I ordered the bay bread which has lump crab, tomatoes, garlic, and mozzarella. This was the most fishiest smelling, tasting crab I’ve ever had. I’ve never gagged before just by smelling any seafood and this one I did. I couldn’t finish it, spent $20 on the dish and I’m still gagging thinking of it.
• overall, I enjoy the property. However after this precious stay, I’m not sure if it’s worth actually staying. Instead, you can book a session at the spa and enjoy all the amenities for the day. "
