"We spontaneously booked one night to spend time with family. Their room was on a different floor.
In the evening, we brought a few drinks from home and the local brewery into the lounge area and were told by management that outside alcohol was not permitted. We apologized and immediately returned to our rooms without any issue.
The next morning, both our room and my family’s room had been charged a large smoking fee for allegedly smelling like marijuana. None of us smoke, vape, etc. and the fact that both rooms on different floors were charged after our brief interaction in the lounge felt extremely unfair and honestly like profiling. They also sent someone to my sister’s room, I’m assuming to check for the smell and the employee opened their room door without even knocking while they were still in there. That was completely out of line.
There was no manager on duty when questioned to speak with. After a twenty minute ordeal, someone going up to our room to check for “smells”, I was told the $ hold for smoking violation would be removed. We will not be back."
