“Good - the view of the Catawba valley, the bed, room is large, owner extremely helpful, brewed coffee in the game room at 7am. Bad - the bathroom is moldy, there is no restaurant or breakfast, there is no kitchenette just a small refrigerator. For the price and the description, not what I thought. But it was ok.”

“Everything was clean and ready for us. Was a cold week but still nice and warm with the gas logs. Kitchen was supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back. ”

“Perfect for a short stay. Close to the Blue Ridge and lots of hikes”

“Service was very slow at breakfast in the restaurant, even though there were only two other couples dining.”

“Everything was fantastic”

“Excellent location and perfect service. Recommend to everyone who wants to get good quality by reasonable price”

“Awesome place clean and comfortable”

“The main reason I am not happy is I booked a king room at a lower price and then when I got there it was a lot more! On top of that, they had NO king rooms available overbooked! Had to get a queen and only $25.00 credit. Not happy with this! If I am gonna pay $300 a night for 1 room for 1 night it best be the best and what I had asked for!! Very disappointed!!”

“Very nice location within walking distance of town, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Housekeeping staff does need to be a little more detail oriented. Noticed an area in bathroom that should have been cleaned which apparently was overlooked. Definitely plan to stay here again when visiting the area.”

“Great breakfast ”

“👍”

“This is an older hotel, nothing fancy as with most of this brand, but it was comfortable, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints.”

“We were amazed how clean and modern and well-maintained the hotel is! Doesn’t look like a typical motel, very cozy, very clean. We found it last minute and checked out at 12 am, the staff was very friendly. And the price is very modest. Recommend!”

“There could have been a better selection for breakfast, but we loved the location and the town of Black Mountain.”
