The kitchen staff were brilliant. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel made it especially great due to the amenities nearby in the plaza and fuel station. I highly recommend”

“Ben, was extremely understanding that due to the jet fuel situation in the UK, we had to cut our trip short and he was not able to move us to a different day. Outside of expedia's commission he offered to refund a portion of the stay since we couldn't be there that night. Just waiting on Expedia to update it in my account”

“Wir haben eingecheckt, das Zimmer gesehen und sind sofort wieder abgereist. Was man uns als Zimmer angeboten hat, war eine Zumutung: Das Zimmer lag unter dem Dach, war schräg, winzig und hatte eine Deckenhöhe von gerade mal 2 Meter. Für den Preis mehr als sportlich. Der eigentliche Grund für die Weigerung in dieses Zimmer abzusteigen, war die Hitze, die in diesem Zimmer herrschte. Ich denke, es waren um die 35 Grad. Das Fenster war nur auf einen kleinen Spalt zu öffnen, so dass keine Frischluft...

“What a wonderful place to stay. Lovely little touches make it feel like home. Food was superb, breakfast cooked to order so nice and fresh. Great choice for evenings too. The gardens are awesome. It is a credit to Francesca, Mark and the rest of the staff. We will certainly stay there whenever we are in the area. ”

“Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.”

“The place has plenty of potential. Unfortunately it was spoiled by some bizarre rules -for example our room was not cleaned the next day because we did not put out the sign to clean the room. We were never informed about this.”

“We stayed 2 nights in sn upper floor twin room. The in room TV was tiny, but everything else about the stay was good. Internet was fast, breakfasts were very good, and we also enjoyed dining there in the evenings, with views of the last gokfers of the day on the 9th and 18th holes just outside the windows. Parking was easy, and the staff were great.”

“I ended up booking this on a lark, and what great fortune it was! The location, the attention to details, the fluidity of welcoming attentive and informative staff to impeccable grounds, made it a memorable stay. They combine high end service w/ a feeling of being at home, I will most definitely be booking with them again. Highlights: Spa inclusion w/ room stay (sauna, steam bath all pools especially heated outdoor!) location: coastal pathway to St Charles. Nature walks, no cars to everything...
