“Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.”

“Historic inn that has been well-maintained into the 21st century! Spacious rooms with excellent modern bathrooms. Beautiful views over the harbour of Falmouth, especially for breakfast! ”

“Good staff , food good , but no hot water in the sink or bath to wash in the morning it was stone cold. I told the manager who was very apologetic and said he would get it looked at.”

The kitchen staff were brilliant. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel made it especially great due to the amenities nearby in the plaza and fuel station. “Good & clean”

“I've traveled more than 20 countries and of course stayed many hotels. However, this hotel was the best for our family in terms of services. They had separated restaurants for family and adults (only) so that kids can have more freedom. In front of hotel, there are very well equipped playground for kids as well. Staff members were kind and they booked tours for us as well. Swimming pool and indoor spa are free; but, you should pay extra for outdoor spa. We will definitely come back to...

“I ended up booking this on a lark, and what great fortune it was! The location, the attention to details, the fluidity of welcoming attentive and informative staff to impeccable grounds, made it a memorable stay. They combine high end service w/ a feeling of being at home, I will most definitely be booking with them again. Highlights: Spa inclusion w/ room stay (sauna, steam bath all pools especially heated outdoor!) location: coastal pathway to St Charles. Nature walks, no cars to everything...

“Had a great stay at the Membly Hotel. Great location with very polite and helpful staff. Had A lovely quiet, large twin room On the ground floor which was kept clean at all times. Very happy thank you”

“We stayed 2 nights in sn upper floor twin room. The in room TV was tiny, but everything else about the stay was good. Internet was fast, breakfasts were very good, and we also enjoyed dining there in the evenings, with views of the last gokfers of the day on the 9th and 18th holes just outside the windows. Parking was easy, and the staff were great.”

“Bar and restaurant is nice and modern, looks like it's recently been refurbished. Food is great! Rooms look like they've been decorated somewhat recently but not completely refurbished. For the price, I would stay again”

“Room was spacious, but under a function room, and the noise transmitted down. We had cool weather, and the room was warm. No aircon, so can imagine it would be very uncomfortable in hot weather. The room telephone and TV did not work when we got the room. Fixed the next day. TV was not networked, so no iPlayer etc. The Sundeck advertised with the room was a private patio outside. Ok, but not really private. Also cigarette butts not cleared away from previous occupants. Pool and gym ok...

“The hotel was great”

“I liked everything about the property. It is close to the train station. It is within easy walking distance to the old part of town. It has incredible views of Falmouth bay. The room was spacious and clean. The staff are very, very nice and knowledgeable. The restaurant is beautiful. The building has a lot of history. And, I had a visiting seagull hanging out on the ledge outside my window. Most cool!! I highly recommend this hotel.”
