"Travelling to this place after a week on the south side of Bali was like arriving in paradise. Clean air, calm waves, beautiful scenery and no traffic! Here was the paradise island we'd hoped Bali to be, and which was sorely lacking from Denpasar and surroundings. "This was booked as a private Villa with its own private pool, however we were disturbed by the owner entering the villa without being invited in which was very unnerving, especially when you open your bedroom curtains to find the owner outside your patio doors looking in. However, this is a fantastic villa and we had a really enjoyable relaxing stay. "

"I was in awe of nature's lush green curtain comprising verdant rice terraces, palms, and tropical trees. This is the backdrop to Pondok's individual contemporary 'Joglu' rooms. It is a dizzying beauty that transfixes one's gaze. From the pictures it looked a wonder. For real it is transcendent. Perfect for a retreat. Perfect for rest and relaxation. Perfect to ponder in. And Perfect to wander in. The location requires one to be steady on foot, and reasonably fit. Otherwise one has all to be nourished by the environment. Pak Denik, the Manager was particularly welcoming, and the Front of House staff, Misses Yogi. The views are restful and remain in mind. "
