I go to that area to visit family. I would not go there if this were not the case. I love London, this part not so much.

Stayed in a superior twin room on the 5th floor, which was clean and comfortable, with a walk-in shower (important because I have mobility issues). It was on the small side but not cramped. It's a very cute area and it's well connected by rail and bus. Lots of places to go up and down London road and the walking area and businesses around Whitgift center and also the East Croydon station are so nice.
