Clean room, great staff greetings, great place to stay for night life in the area like eating, drinking, and a great socializing atmosphere among others that don’t involve a night club.
Great location near Ameyoko market and food stalls, convenience stores, Ueno Station and Keisei Skyliner station, and other restaurants. Very satisfied with the room and service. Thankful that we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel before check-in and after check-out so we could explore the area a little more.
Great location family mart around the corner, subway and underground access short walk away. Great restaurants and shopping nearby, great price friendly helpful staff
APA hotels never disappoint. The best staff and comfortable rooms. Highly recommend especially in this area as it’s very easy to get around Tokyo from the nearby station and easy access to Narita airport.
Location of the hotel is great. About an 8 minute walk to Ueno station to catch the skyliner to and from the airport. Okachimachi station is just a 5 minute walk to travel to other area of Tokyo. Alot of great eating amd shopping spots right around the hotel. The hotel restaurant on the 1st floor was convenient for an early breakfast, before heading out to whatever plans you have for the day.
Can't adjust heater in room!
The location is good- in the heart of everything. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the heater inside the hotel cannot be adjusted in each room. It was cold outside in November so naturally the heater was turned on inside the hotel. Unfortunately we were not able to adjust the thermostat so the small room got really hot! Luckily we have a small window in the room that we were able to pop open slightly to be comfortable. I would not stay here again unless it's summer time. There is a sign by the elevator that says guests cannot adjust the heater in their room. I wish I knew this when I booked.
One week stay due to business. Small is really too small. The lobby is often a mess during check out time. Self-check in machine is limited in number that requires a long wait. Luggages stored at the lobby were not properly chained up and monitored, resulting in risk of them being stolen. The air conditioning system is the worst part. Room guests are unable to control the themostat and temperature from the room. It has been very warm, too warm.. week of staying in this hotel. Stay away from it. Location is reasonably close to subway stations and major street-shopping area of Ueno. As a result, as the windows are open due to the room temperature being too high, it becomes very noisy. This appears to be the worst property in Japan that I have ever stayed. I made this major mistake for such a long week of stay.
