Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North We stayed here for four nights as a family of four and appreciated how convenient it was to get to — easy airport access via the Skyliner and just a short walk to the nearest train station for exploring other parts of Tokyo. The hotel is in an older part of town, close to Ueno Park and Zoo, and about a 30-minute walk to Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple. The staff were great — friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room size worked well for our family, and the bunk bed setup was perfect for the kids. However, there were a few downsides. The room didn’t have access to fresh air since the windows don’t open, and there was a light lingering sewer smell. It was generally clean, but compared to other Mimaru hotels we’ve stayed at, this one didn’t quite measure up. Overall, a convenient and family-friendly option for exploring Tokyo, though there’s room for improvement.

The staff were super friendly and the hotel was pretty nice. The room size was good for Tokyo and it even had a small kitchenette and a dining table. It was not too far from Ueno station for metro and Shinkansen trains. There are a stack of dining and shopping options within a 15 min walk radius.

The staff here are amazing. Helpful and kind. The room was huge and perfect for the three of us. The location is very near to Ueno train station and easily walkable to the park and shopping.

Our family of three recently stayed at Mimaru Ueno North for seven nights and it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel offers a comfortable atmosphere and is conveniently located near Ueno Station, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transport. Reception staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our room was impeccably clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable with just the right firmness. After a day of sightseeing and long walks, it was good to retire for the night in a quiet area and hotel. Overall, we had a great stay at Mimaru Ueno North.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Room facilities are clean and good. Kitchenware is good but it does not provide with salt and oil so making cooking a bit difficult. Hope this can be supplied upon request. Laundry facilities are not in the room. It is public paid laundrette on the 2nd floor. Night time around 7pm to 10 pm are busy hours so you need to "fight" or line up, even though there are 4 washing and drying machine each and 2 fully automatic wash-dry machines which can only do 3.5 kg per load. Hotel is about 15 mins walk from Ueno station. Neighbourhood only has two Lawson convenient stores. If you want to eat or shop, you need to walk back to the Ameyokocho area. This is not too ideal when you are tired and carrying stuffs (after shopping).

Really enjoyed our stay at Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North. This was our second stay with the Mimaru brand, and will definitely recommend people with family or big groups to choose Mimaru Hotel Apts. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed having a kitchenette and dining table!

My family (2a2c) stayed in this hotel for 1 week, we all love it! Location is good, just a few minutes walk to everything. Room is spacious and kids love the bunk beds. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will come back again.

Staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. Room condition was great, with modern appliances and with plenty room for a family of 4. Loved the kitchen, we cooked breakfast a few times and gave us an option to save and enjoy American breakfast with groceries purchased from local mini mart. First time staying at an apartment hotel and definitely Mimaru exceeded our expectations, and had a big part of us enjoying our Tokyo vacation!

Brilliant modern room that was spacious for 2 adults and 3 children. Hotel was walking distance to Ueno train station, great local food spots, shopping etc. If you like walking, Asakusa is only a 20minute walk along one road. Uneo station is a hub so it's a quick train trip to anywhere in Tokyo. The English speaking hotel staff provide great local expert knowledge regarding sights, food, karaoke, transport. Lots to do and explore in Ueno. Loved this place!
