“I've given this a five star review because although the rooms are fairly basic, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, and the location is brilliant. You're a 5 minute walk from the beach and there's a bus route right outside the hotel that can take you direct to Penzance, Marazion and St Ives (and I'm sure elsewhere, but that's all we managed). It's also incredibly good value for money. So don't expect the Ritz but for what you pay this is a really great place to stay.”

“A beautiful hotel in an incredible location, with lovely spa facilities that are worth a visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. That said, for a hotel of this calibre, we did notice a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. “Very clean rooms and friendly hosts. It was quite cool in the evenings with heating only on in the mornings and there was no communal lounge area to sit in so we felt we were confined to our bedroom. ”

“The property is tired. Some of the staff worked hard. Some were obviously inexperienced. But the big problem was there were not enough capable staff. Long waiting times for food. Ordering systems that failed. Simple things like getting your own coffee at breakfast did not work. Altogether a lack of energy and commitment to getting things right was missing. “Travelling as a family we had 3 rooms here, one family room and 2 doubles. 2 of the rooms were amazing with views of St Michael’s mount. The 3rd room was tiny in comparison but cost roughly the same. So mixed views on the rooms, similarly in the restaurant, breakfast was excellent however, fish and chips in the restaurant in the evening and children’s meals were disappointing considering the location and price point.”

“Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. Thank you much for such a great stay!”

“The hosts were lovely. Clean, safe, comfortable, good common area includes fridge, glasses, plates & cutlery. Delicious breakfasts with a view of the colourful boat harbour. The pub in Mousehole (5 min walk) was good. Parking is a short distance away but make sure you have cell / text service to use the parking app in case the only machine in the lot isn't working as the next lot is 2 miles away! Would stay here again!!!”

“Geen ontbijt terwijl dit wel aangegeven staat en waar we ook voor betaald hebben. Doen ze al 4 jaar niet meer maar niemand die de moeite heeft genomen om het aan te passen. Is niet gecompenseerd. Verder zeer gehorig, oud, zeer matig onderhouden kamer. Bed met doorgezakt matras aan een kant. Eten was ook matig, hoewel de frietjes wel goed waren. Gelukkig was het maar voor 1(onrustige) nacht, maar prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is hier zoek. Veel te duur”

“The breakfast was good, but let down by being a little cold. The room and hotel were very nice and well kept, but the restaurant area was incredibly cold, the windows in the conservatory area leaked air around the edges and the air con wasn’t running any heating when we were in there eating so hurried through and returned to room. ”
