Verde Valley Wine Trail, Arizona hotel rooms at the Independent

"The room was great, nicely decorated & furniture was very comfortable. Check-in staff were very friendly & welcoming. "

"We stayed just for the night in a single queen room, and I was not super impressed for the price point. We were passing through and most hotels in the area we wanted to stop around were $100/night or more, but we decided on the Days Inn as it showed a photo of a full breakfast with meat and eggs, only for us to arrive and be informed that they didn’t serve that, but the Denny’s would give us a 15% discount. The room was fine and appeared clean, but the housekeeper wasn’t even thorough enough to notice the last guests had left a tip in the designated envelope. The A/C was very noisy and we could hear everyone around us. The shower head was not great and barely high enough to suit me at 5’3”. The only thing to write home about was that the ice machine had pellet ice and a water bottle filler, which we very much appreciated."

"We stayed at the lodge below the casino which is treated like a separate entity. The Casino has an indoor pool and gym, the lodge gets an outdoor pool. Since the desk is closed at the lodge we had to go up to the casino then drive back down to the lodge.The rooms are dated. No free outlets. Had to unplug a light. Room was clean with the usual dust in the hard to clean places. There is a shuttle between the Casino and lodge which was efficient. Overall it was a good stay at a reasonable price."

"The hotel is in an excellent location; very close to the Holy Cross Chapel, Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock. Beautiful gardens and it has its own trail. Additionally ; the restaurant Mole is awesome . I highly recommend it . "

"A fine hotel, but nothing exciting. booked a Mountain View balcony room and was surprised it was really more of a view of a parking lot than the mountains. Good AC. Pool was cold. It wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t recommend or stay there again"
