"Nice hotel, located by the lake. Great location for boat trips to Borromean Islands. Spacious balcony looking towards the lake though the view was largely blocked by a tree! It has a small indoor pool. Breakfast staff were friendly."

"We stayed here for 4 wonderful nights in September. We loved everything about this hotel ..the location, the gardens, the delicious Breakfast delivered to our room each morning and the amazing views . But the thing we loved the most was the incredible STAFF. From the moment we arrived, Patrizia at the front desk made us feel so welcome. During our stay she helped us in every way possible, making dinner reservations, arranging taxis and making us feel like valued guests. She is wonderful! Jackson is another jewel. His smile every morning when he brought our breakfast was a great way to begin our days. The other young people who worked at the front desk were also lovely. We have stayed at hundreds of hotels and can say without doubt that this was the best hotel staff we have ever had the honour to meet. Thank you all for a memorable 4 days. Stresa will live in our hearts forever!!"

"The hotel is absolutely charming, with so many of its original period features beautifully preserved, which made our stay feel even more magical. One of the highlights was enjoying cocktails at the Hemingway Bar while listening to live piano music. The spa was wonderful, with both indoor and outdoor swimming facilities, and was the perfect place to relax. The hotel is also very well located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. A beautiful hotel full of character, and a truly memorable stay."

"-Great location, friendly staff and a lovely breakfast We stayed four nights with our toddler and would happily come back. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the location couldn't be better: right in the centre of Stresa, with the ferry to the islands just outside the door and restaurants, cafés and the lakefront all a short walk away. Breakfast was included and was easy, quick and delicious, which made a real difference with a little one in tow. We stayed in two rooms during our trip. The lake view room on the third floor had a fantastic view over the lake. The second room faced the street at the back, which had its own appeal: you could feel the energy of the town in the evening. Two things worth knowing. Like some other reviewers have mentioned, the beds are on the firmer side. And for international travellers, the power outlets are the older-style European sockets, so your international charger might not fit. Bring an adapter that works with Italian sockets. Overall, a very good stay, and we'd recommend it."
