“When we travel to see family in Destin, we make it a point to stay at Wakulla Springs on our way. It is such a unique property. You can’t stay in your room and watch tv because there isn’t one! It’s a place to take in the natural beauty surrounding the area. Be sure to take the boat ride. The restaurant is excellent, and the staff is friendly ”

“Our stay was AMAZING!! I can’t remember enjoying a stay more than this one in many years. The staff - from the awesome manager on duty to the housekeeper who literally welcomed this exhausted traveler as she walked in the hotel’s front door - was kind, caring, and totally focused on our comfort and well-being during our stay. “The room was the mustiest/dampest smelling room I have ever experienced. The air condition smelled like a mold factory. If you are sensitive to that - might not be the place for you. Also the air conditioner sounded like it was choking and every minute would make a grinding noise which made it hard to sleep. Everything else was just super average - nothing particularly noteworthy for an along the freeway hotel. I know you get what you pay for, and this was not an expensive room really - but In...

“Like others mentioned, musty smell covered by cleaning solution, but not as bad as others experience. Room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was pretty good in comparison to other places we've stayed. Desk person was so-so, not bad but not super friendly. Nice patio. Hotel is tucked away, like many others at this exit, which was nice, felt like a quiet area. Lots of dining options. Overall good stay. They do need to address the musty smell. ”

“Parking was safe and easy. The weekend breakfast buffet far exceeded the weekday one, which was predominantly vending-machine fair and barely edible. Staff members were friendly and helpful, although it's disappointing that no cleaning of the room or replacement of towels/washcloths took place. We asked for the latter at the desk, where they were handed to us. The floors and carpeting were filthy! Apparently seldom vacuumed, and evidently never steam-cleaned.”
