“The outside looks great but once I opened the door to our room we were greeted with the strong horrible smell of cat urine!!!! Had to use half the bottle of dawn air freshener to get the room to a tolerable smell. The tv in the bedroom only had 4 working channels and the tv in the living room had no working remote! Pool was great and will stay for breakfast maybe I’ll add another review if it’s great if not won’t be another review.”

“The 1st thing you notice when entering to check in is that the place smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess they still allow smoking in the casino. Fortunately, I couldn't smell it in the room. The room had a mini-fridge that I used for leftovers, but there was no place to reheat them. I had to take them to the front desk to have them heat them up for me in the back. “The age of this hotel shows. A fresh coat of paint and some minor fixture repairs would go a long way. Helpful staff added a lot to the stay. The free breakfast was OK, not great.”

“Breakfast wasn’t great - no toaster and ‘fake’ eggs and protein. The mattress was really hard - like an old coil spring and the frame was metal and made a ton of noise. Barely any blankets. The room felt very damp. It was clean so but otherwise not the most comfortable stay.”

“Very cool historic building with antique furnishings and super comfortable bed. Paid a little extra to stay in the presidential suite which was very cool. Suite had a whirlpool, and an awesome sitting room overlooking downtown. My only gripe is the whirlpool wasn't able to get very hot at all. I assume the water heater can't keep up for the tub's demand. One guy on staff was friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that the lounge/bar/restaurant is no longer in service. “Unfortunately, this was one of the least enjoyable hotel stays we’ve had. The room appeared old, poorly maintained, and not very clean. The pillowcases looked worn and stained, the carpet felt dirty, and several of the bed linens were torn. The bathroom was especially disappointing. The shower had visible rust, and the water never became more than lukewarm. Sleep was also difficult because the blackout curtains did not properly cover the window, allowing bright outdoor lights to shine into the...

“Good on general”

“No pool, no fitness room. Missing door between room in suite, toilet kept running until you take cover off tank, had to put input on tv everytime you turned it off.”

“We have stayed at this location multiple times and have enjoyed every stay. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very friendly. We were there over Memorial Day Weekend, and there were little league teams and the boys were running around the whole hotel, so it was loud. The pool is a little cold, but the hot tub is great.”

“Over all the hotel was fine. Location is nice. The worst part of the experience was not having clean sheets. Upon arrival the bed sheets bad a brown stain on them. Staff were nice and made it right, so thank you to them. ”

“We were unaware of pet fee when booking on expedia, somehow missed the hidden $75 fee. Along with that fee for an our very well behaved, non-shedding dog, we paid an already high amount for a beat up room. There were many damages to the room, dead bugs on the floor, muddy paw prints in the bathroom and sticky tile. Everything else was average and did not seem to add up to our payment for this. The staff was very unflexible and unhelpful with our concerns. We will never stay at a Residence Inn...
