"One of the nicer hotels to stay in Santa Cruz. Loved the vibe, decor, and how kid/dog friendly this property is. The rooms are a little bit worn and outdated and there were some updates that probably need to be made to the hotel itself. The pool and amenities were nice. VERY expensive parking, food, and drinks - although the room booking itself was reasonable. No outside food or drinks are allowed, so just note that you'll be spending a lot hanging out at the hotel."

"I paid $507 for what was essentially a standard room with a great view. While the room itself was clean and comfortable, I don't feel it justified the price. The shower had some issues, and aside from the view, there wasn't much that made the room feel like a premium experience. The restaurant was great when I went for dinner, but nothing particularly memorable for breakfast. The service throughout my stay was also just okay, and at times the customer service felt below what I'd expect for a hotel at this price point. The pool looked a little dirty, although the jacuzzi was nice and enjoyable. I loved that it was not chlorine! One of the biggest frustrations during my stay was that I lost my car keys. (Of course, this is my fault and no one else's) But, unfortunately the front desk wasn't very helpful, and I didn't feel like they handled the situation with much urgency or empathy. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. After my stay, I filled out the guest survey and was contacted by the manager, Dan. He listened to my concerns, treated me with professionalism, and refunded part of my stay. His willingness to make things right significantly improved my overall impression of the hotel. While my initial experience was disappointing, I really appreciated how he handled the situation afterward. He was amazing. Overall, I would consider staying here again, but only if the price were lower than what I paid for this visit. (originally)"

"We enjoyed our stay - the location was great! -loved being right next to West Cliff Dr for amazing walks and so easy to get downtown. It's not glamorous - but was recently remodeled, was very clean, spacious bathroom, bed very comfortable, liked the convenience of having a microwave, refrigerator & a 4-cup coffee machine. Also glad to have parking included. My only small "criticism" was that housekeeping did not clean our room when requested - we stayed 5 nights and are able to tidy our own room from day to day - but we requested a cleaning/new towels/more coffee packs on day 3 and it never happened. I was able to get those supplies from the front office - desk staff were always great. Maybe thy housekeeping staff were too busy that day? Other than that - a great stay!"

"The valet parking was chaotic. Breakfast was a crazy mad house, we ended up not having breakfast there. We tired two different times and it was just nuts . The location was good, 10 minute walk to the boardwalk. 12-16 minute walk to downtown area. Rooms was clean and tidy. No one’s was rooms were ready when we arrived at 5. They also forgot to give us bath towels for showering. Staff was friendly"
