"Super unexpected but beautiful stay. The bar, restaurant, shop , courtyard, pool were all really pleasantly impressive. This place is an amazing bang for your buck stay in a good location. Recommend to anyone coming by."
"Good spot to sleep for the night while traveling to the Grand Canyon. Great price for the room. Some hairs in the shower and shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, but other than that the room appeared to be clean. We did not use any of the amenities but the grounds looked very pretty!"
"The hotel was ok. We unfortunately got a room facing the Main Street. Emergency vehicles for some reason were very active and we stop counting at 10 through the whole morning. The walls are thin and the guests upstairs were up late and up early stomping around at 5am. You could also hear kids running around making all kinds of noise at hours people are sleeping. The staff was not rude but not friendly. The hotel looked like they remodeled some things yet left other things old. For example the bathroom had new toilet, sink, and mirror yet they left the old bathtub and the really old light switch covers. The bathtub I understand can add significant costs but the light switch covers?! Made the other modern updates they made pointless cause the old stuff was really horrible."
"Had a rough night here. Didn’t make as far as we had anticipated on our road trip, so we booked a hotel room here last minute, which the staff were unable to make any discounts on despite it being 10pm, but that we could have overlooked. However, then the front desk staff accidentally charged me for two rooms instead of one, and then said they couldn’t figure out how to reverse the secondary charge, and a check back in the morning.
The bar was right below our room, which obviously comes with a level of understanding on our part being in a historic building and all. However as the bar began to close patrons from the bar, came upstairs to use the bathrooms and then proceeded to bang on our door at about 1:30 in the morning and then stand outside the window on the sidewalk, talking very loud loudly until about 2am.
As we were just falling asleep, the trash truck rolled in and parked right outside of our building for a solid 5-10 minutes. Needless to say no sleep was had. The next morning the front desk man was rather nonplussed about any of our complaints, when asking how our stay was. Though he was finally able to reverse the charges on my room that I was wrongly charged for that still took about three days to process back to my account. All in all, I think that’s our last time staying with the Monte V."
