The PUBLIC Hotel places far more emphasis on its restaurants, bars, and café than on the actual hotel experience. With noticeably limited staff throughout the property, it’s difficult to get timely or consistent customer service. The rooms also lack many standard amenities like bathrobes, slippers, body lotion, and other basic toiletries that you would expect from a hotel in this price range.
Overall, the stay felt underwhelming, and I wouldn’t recommend the property, especially when there are many other hotels in NYC that offer a more comfortable and guest-focused experience.
