We stayed at Platinum Yucatan Princess to celebrate my 30th birthday and had an incredible experience. The resort is beautiful, with lush grounds, lovely pools, and access to the larger pool at the connected Princess resort. The adults-only bars served excellent cocktails and tequila, and we especially loved the passionfruit margaritas. Upgrading to a room with a balcony hot tub was absolutely worth it. Thank you to Mario for arranging transportation with MTS and Ana for a smooth check-in. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Sara at Bar Plaza kept us laughing and served great drinks during the Fire Show. The entertainment was outstanding every night, especially the Fire Show and Mexican Show. We also loved the trivia, pool activities, Mariachi, Rock Band, dancers, and the entire entertainment team. Special thanks to Malu for her warmth, humour, and personal touch, and to Luna for her fun dance lessons and private archery lesson for my fiancé. The food was fantastic, especially at Buffet Yucatan. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed many vegan options. My fiancé is vegetarian, lactose intolerant, and gluten free, and the buffet staff and chefs went above and beyond to accommodate him with a separate menu and plenty of safe choices. Bryan provided exceptional service, while Citlaly, Karen, and Bereniece always made us feel welcome. The spa was wonderful as well. Esmeralda helped arrange my treatments, and Bulmaro provided a relaxing facial and chocolate body exfoliation. Thx!

I’ve been to lots of resorts before, but this one is a bit unique. The mascot is a penguin super cute the scented toilet paper 😂 they sprayed your bed and robe with a scented linen spray loved it! When leaving the room in the evening, they would come in and prepare your room for bed. I never had a bad meal. From the restaurant manager Augustin who greeted us every day knew us by name. All the sweet servers Jonathan, Victor, Lazaro attention to detail they made my mom’s birthday so memorable. Also the pool servers Gerard and Jose are so attentive I will miss every single one of them. Never went to the beach due to the storms, but overall the breathless views of the beach and resort 10/10. I joined there subscription so I can travel all there other resorts worldwide. But I can’t wait to revisit Devossion in playa never disappointed. Cheers!

We stayed in a Garden View room. On our first night around 10 PM, the AC began leaking in our room in Building 5, and we had to be transferred to Building 4. It was frustrating having to walk back, pack everything up, and switch rooms that late at night. A bellhop to assist us immediately would have been appreciated, and I was hoping the resort might offer some type of upgrade or gesture for the inconvenience, but that wasn’t provided. That said, the hospitality and service from the staff were excellent, and the food was outstanding. If you’re looking for a resort that actually feels like Mexico, this place delivers. Unlike some of the large concrete-style resorts, the property feels vibrant, tropical, and full of character, especially with the wildlife throughout the grounds. The lazy river and pool areas were a highlight. The waterfalls, bridges, and overall design make the resort feel unique and relaxing. The drinks were decent, though nothing particularly memorable. The Don Julio bar was a standout, especially for the martinis. Food was easily a 10/10. The buffet was average compared to the specialty restaurants, but still good. Overall, I wouldn’t necessarily return every year, but it’s definitely a resort I’d recommend experiencing at least once and would consider visiting again in the future.

The food was also better than I expected, especially for an all-inclusive that wasn't super expensive. The one real downside was the beach. It was completely covered in seaweed so you couldn't really use it, and sometimes you could smell it in the outdoor areas of the hotel. The drinks weren't great either, but honestly that's pretty normal for most all-inclusives. Would I go back? Probably yes — mostly because of the staff and I really liked the vibe of the place. It's also in a good spot if you want to do stuff around Playa del Carmen. Next time I'd just check the seaweed situation before booking.

I love this hotel, will definitely recommend my friend's and family. The services are top tier from front desk Paulina, pool bar bartender Nelson, pool bar server Bianca. And everyone else that i missed. One of the best hotels I've stayed in got one of the best room services I've been in.
